Charlie set out for the west coast with his older brother Pete in the early 1900's. His family never saw either of them again. His sister Selma petitioned the court to have him declared dead in 1918, giving date of death as 1908. This may have been the last time the family saw Charlie. Charlie died June 9, 1913 from accidental drowning in Delanty Lake, Washington. He was buried June 11, 1913 in a Catholic cemetery per his death certificate. His exact burial information is unknown.
